CAUCHY PROBLEM WITH SINGULARITY FOR SINGULARLY PERTURBED INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

This paper deals with a singularly perturbed linear integro-differential equation of third order with a small parameter at the highest derivatives. The aim is to obtain an asymptotic estimate of the solution to the given Cauchy problem and to investigate its asymptotic convergence.The study constructs the system of fundamental solutions and initial functions for the homogeneous singularly perturbed linear differential equation of third order, and derives their asymptotic expressions as the small parameter tends to zero. An analytical formula, an asymptotic estimate, and the asymptotic behavior of the solution to the given Cauchy problem are obtained. It is established that the solution of the Cauchy problem exhibits a first-order, second-degree initial jump phenomenon at the point t = 0.
